Glad to be of service!

Today, was one of the best days of my life!! Both feeling wise and just in general. I was with some friends who work for a local horse rescue center and sanctuary and we were luckily on hand to be able to help out with the rescue of a horse, who had been stuck in some mud in a pond!



At first I thought maybe he wouldn't survive the poor thing but in the end after some six hours; he was finally managed to be pulled free!











Like I said, just glad to have been there!

Saving horses!

Today I attended a court hearing involving PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) against people who had been accused of abusing and mistreating horses... I was obviously on the side of PETA. Here is a photograph of some of us, we're on the left of the camera (again obviously).













It was a relatively peaceful protest but there were a few minor scuffles... There were also some mounted Police there, who (with good reason) although meant to be unbias took our side a little more! I was just glad I could be there, to help out!

Riding horses...

Riding horses is fun... But you have to be able to respect the horse and it's space at all times! Never demanding ANYTHING of a horse and always show it the same love and compassion you would your spouse or your car!!














I have nothing but love and respect for teh horse!

I've adopted a horse!

Ah it's great!! I love horses, they're the most strong, admirable and wonderful creature! They're Unicorns without the horns you know?! Look at this beautiful beast!



















I've just recently adopted her!! Isn't she lovely? Her name is Pepper and she was abandoned as a foal :( BUT! With the help of the horse sancturary and people like me to help her, she's going to get fit and well!
